2011 FOOTY TIPPING COMPETITION


Welcome to the Rosehill Social Golf Club 2011 Footy tipping Comp

Week 24 Results and The Final Wrap Up.

 

Well it’s all done and dusted for another year.  The RSGC footy tipping wasn’t decided in full until the very last game, with a number of players jumping up and down the ladder.

 

The top two contenders, being Paul White and Adam Andersson, who by chance also played in the same group on Saturday, didn’t bother to compare notes to see what games they needed to take the prize, because if they had, they would have found out that they both tipped exactly the same results, meaning that even with only a 5 out of 8 performance this week, they both held their respective positions, with Whitey taking home the $250 in first place and Angry pocketing $120 for second.  Well done guys, you’ve been up the top all year and deserve the cash.

 

Third spot was owned by Steve “Hoppy” Hopkins and he gets $60 for his efforts, however the 4th and 5th places all changed around, with the fast finishing Ian Moore taking out the final weekly prize of $20 with a 6 out of 8 performance which took him to 136 points and tied with 2 other guys, but thanks to the count back method he took out 4th to add another $30 to his prize, with TWFSL Manoj Fernando clinging onto 5th place by his fingernails from the unlucky Les Musgrave in 6th.

 

Thank you one and all for your participation, we hope you had some fun along the way.  Congratulations to all the weekly and major prize winners and commiserations to the remainder.  Better luck next year!!!

Click on the links for the next AFL round and enter your tips.

All tips must be received 2 hours prior to the official start of the first game of that round.

Any error with your tips being submitted incomplete will result in you being given the away team for the game the error occured in.  Failure to enter your tips on time or not entering any tips at all will result in you being given the away teams for the whole round.

Tipping Instructions:  To place your tips each week click on the links below (or hover over Footy Tipping icon on the right side of the page and the Round picks will appear).  

Once in the correct round enter your "name" & “date of birth” then click on the “Choose” drop down tab.  Click on your choice of winning team for each round.  We also need you to type in the winning margin, in points, for the first game of each round.

Note: Please make sure that once you have chosen your tips and have clicked on “Submit” another page will appear showing what you have chosen.  Check your tips to make sure all is in order.  If you see an error then click on “go back” change the tips and click "submit" again.  We will always take the last lot of tips we receive, as long as it’s no later than 2 hours before the first game each week.

FULL RULES, TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

The 2011 RSGC Footy Tipping competition is open to all Rosehill Social Golf Club financial members.  Entry is via the web site only (unless by prior arrangement)  It is each players responsibility to have their tips lodged by no later than 2 hours prior to bounce down of the first game of that weeks round.  Any late entries or nil entries will receive all of the away teams as their tips for that round.  The competition uses the 20101AFL season calendar for all reference points.

 

RSGC can not be held responsible for any internet disruptions, be it either with the player or the clubs own web site provider.  Only in extreme circumstance if the player does not have access to the web, then they can email their winning tips and margin via footytipping@rosehillsgc.com  or if all else fails the player can call 0407-938-980 to lodge their tips, but only as a last resort.

 

The weekly prize winner will be the player who has the most correct tips for that round and tips closest to the winning margin on the first game of the round.  In the event of a tie, the player who’s points tip is less than the winning margin will take out the weekly prize, if that result is also tied then the prize will be split as evenly as possible.

 

The overall prize winners will be the players with the most correct tips from first to fourth highest.  If at the end of the 24 rounds two players are tied for an overall prize then a count back system will take place, with the player having the most correct tips in round 24 being deemed the winner, if still tied then round 23 will be used and so on.  If still tied the prize money in dispute will be split as evenly as possible.

 

All details of fixtures are deemed correct at the time of publication but are subject to change without notice.  RSGC reserves the right to amend the rules during the season under the scenario of fair play, should this be required.  RSGC also reserves the right to disqualify any player not playing within the spirit of the competition.  RSGC runs the competition in good faith but takes no responsibility for any errors contained within this documentation.































Price is $40 upfront for the whole season,
but you may pay this off over the first few weeks.
