RULES & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

The 2009 RSGC Footy Tipping competition is open to all Rosehill Social Golf Club financial members.  Entry is via the web site only (unless by prior arrangement)  It is each players responsibility to have their tips lodged by no later than 2 hours prior to bounce down of the first game of that weeks round.  Any late entries or nil entries will receive all of the away teams as their tips for that round.  The competition uses the 2009 AFL season calendar for all reference points.

RSGC can not be held responsible for any internet disruptions, be it either with the player or the clubs own web site provider.  Only in extreme circumstance if the player does not have access to the web, then they can email their winning tips and margin via footytipping@rosehillsgc.com  or if all else fails the player can call 0407-938-980 to lodge their tips, but only as a last resort.

The weekly prize winner will be the player who has the most correct tips for that round and tips closest to the winning margin on the first game of the round.  In the event of a tie, the player who’s points tip is less than the winning margin will take out the weekly prize, if that result is also tied then the prize will be split as evenly as possible.

The overall prize winners will be the players with the most correct tips from first to fourth highest.  If at the end of the 22 rounds two players are tied for an overall prize then a count back system will take place, with the player having the most correct tips in round 22 being deemed the winner, if still tied then round 21 will be used and so on.  If still tied the prize money in dispute will be split evenly as possible.

All details of fixtures are deemed correct at the time of publication but are subject to change without notice.  RSGC reserves the right to amend the rules during the season under the scenario of fair play, should this be required.  RSGC also reserves the right to disqualify any player not playing within the spirit of the competition.  RSGC runs the competition in good faith but takes no responsibility for any errors contained within this documentation.

Entries close 2 hours prior to the bounce down on the first game of that week.

Results will be published here following the completion of each round.

To place your tips each week click on the links below (or to the side hovering over Footy Tipping and the Round picks will appear).  Once in the correct round enter your name and “club number” then click on the “Choose” drop down tab, then click on your choice of winning team for each round.  We also need you to type in the winning margin, in points, for the first game of each round.

Week 22 and Final Results

Well after 22 rounds of tipping, what an incredibly close finish we had to see who takes out the major cash prizes.

Coming from way back in 7th place last week, Carl “SS” Andersson has won not only the $15 with a 7 out of 8 performance, but he’s also won the big one.  $300 coming your way Carl, well done.

He can thank the Lions and the Bulldogs for getting him over the line.  Carl was the only guy from the top 7 to tip Brisbane, which put him in the position to take the win subject to the Pies v Bulldogs game.

He took the big win from Paul White who takes home $150 for 2nd, with Steve Hopkins taking 3rd and $90.  Rounding out the cash winners in 4th was Les Musgrave who pockets $50.

Unfortunately, just missing out are 2 of the guys who have been trading top places all year in Pius O’Keefe (5th) and Jim Plowman (6th).

Thanks to all of the players who took part this season.

Enjoy watching the AFL finals

Cheers

RSGC
