VACANCIES

Dear 2010 Member

The club is asking for nominations from suitable members to fill the vacancies we have for the positions of Club Treasurer and Vice Treasurer. The successful applicants will join the management committee for the remainder of the 2010 Season.

The roles primarily involve the collection and banking of the club fee’s & fund raising, as well as reporting on the clubs financial position at committee meetings, as well as being part of the decision making process on how the funds are spent.

It is hoped that the roles can be shared between both applicants along with assistance from the other committee members, rather than having one member locked in every week.

2010 Management Committee & Role Description

Here are the current Rosehill Social Golf Club Committee. Please feel free to speak to them on any matter's that involve the running and your enjoyment of the club.

We have also listed at the bottom of this page the 2010 Match & Social Comittee's.

President – Kevin Pearce

Responsible for the overall running of the club.

Vice President – Neil Buscumb

Responsibilities include supporting the President. Looking after recruitment

and the introduction of new players into the club

Captain – Shane Seward

Responsibilities include organising a match committee to develop the seasons

playing fixtures. To run the day’s event and announce the day’s winners and

distribute prizes. Chairman of the match committee

Vice Captain – TBA

Responsibilities include assisting the captain in his role.

Part of the match committee

Treasurer – TBA

Responsibilities include looking after all the financial matters of the club,

to advise the committee of the clubs financial situation and to suggest

financial strategies

Asst. Treasurer – Hugh Letessier

Hugh

Responsibilities include assisting the treasurer in his role and to maintain

an assets register

Secretary – Derek Russell

Responsibilities include organising committee meetings, setting agendas and

the taking and distribution of the minutes of the meetings. To deal with

correspondence and to be involved in club projects

Asst. Secretary – Kevin D'Cruze

Responsibilities include assisting the secretary in his role

Handicapper – Lawrie Wishart ComLawrie

Responsibilities include maintaining the player’s handicaps weekly and giving

handicaps to new players along with assisting the captain in his role.

Part of the match committee

Social Secretary – Dave "Robbo" Robertson

Responsibilities include forming a Social Committee and working within that

group and the main Committee to plan and organise social events for the club

Summer Rep – TBA

Responsibilities include the running of the Summer season from Dec to Feb

It is important that you know who your match committe are so that if you have a specific golfing type question, then these are the people who can best help you in the first instance. Please feel free to approach them for any advice.

2010 Social Committee

Robbo's band of "Merry Men' are tasked with both fund raising and creating enjoyable social events, both after the game and at special times during the year. If you have any idea's that you may think will be of interest, please don't hesitate to speak to one of them.
