Rosehill Social Golf Club was founded in 1984 for like minded golfers who want more than just a casual hit, but rather, want to be part of an organised club, who take their golf seriously, but also enjoy a jovial social atmosphere, without the major expense of a private club.  

We play every Saturday at the Rosehill Public Golf Course in South Guildford Western Australia.  The major Winter competition runs from the first Saturday in March to the last Saturday in November each year.  Sign on is no later than 12 noon and we tee off around 12.24 pm, from both the front and back nines.  For the guys who can't get enough, the more casual Summer comp runs from the first Saturday in December to the last Saturday in February, teeing off around 7.15 am.

COMPETITION

Every week we play different handicap competitions, with prizes being awarded for the winner and place getters, plus various nearest the pins, longest drive type prizes as well.  Most weeks the events are different offering a variety of golf games to cater for all types of players, including Stroke, Stableford, Par & Match Play, as well as others.  All members receive a course handicap, so as to even up the field.  As an organised club, we enforce the laws and values of the game, expecting correct dress standards and etiquette to be adhered to on the course at all occasions.    

MEMBERSHIP

We are always on the lookout for more members to join.  Membership is only $70.00 per year (which includes insurance cover) with a one off, first year nomination fee of $40.00.  After this, you only pay green & ball fee’s for each week you actually play.  This way you are not “locked in” to an expensive club.    

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

As a Social Golf Club, we encourage a friendly and jovial atmosphere, with an enjoyable drink and a laugh to be had after the game each week, should you wish to stay back for half an hour or so.  This is when we give out the daily prizes and also raise some much needed funds from “Spinning Wheels, to Lucky 10’s”, to Raffles and “Master of Arms” fines.  All funds raised go towards our various social activities through out the year, which include Social nights, nibblies after some games, as well as other social activities.  One big highlight being the annual weekend away in November.  

The year is completed by our Trophy Presentation Night in late November early December.  This is where we dress up a little and take our partners out for the night.  A 3-course meal and drinks are provided along with the presentation of trophies won throughout the season, followed by dancing and entertainment late into the night.  This event is highly subsidised by the club and is a great way to finish the season.
